Welcome to E-group!
E-group is a fun way to learn how to look after the world around us. We care for our local environment by feeding the birds, collecting compost, recycling (batteries, cartridges, paper, card, stamps, cans, Christmas cards, school uniform and more) and we check the energy we use by taking monthly readings.
Some of the fun things we do are playing different games to teach us about the environment. One of our favourite ones is playing Bat and Moth, where we use our sonar to find the moths! We also do lots of art and craft activities, such as making posters, leaf pictures, collages and many other creative things to do with nature.
We also celebrate Fair Trade fortnight by cooking with fair-trade ingredients.
“E-group is really helping me to learn about the world and everything,” said Katie.
Rebecca and Howie said, “Our favourite part is feeding the birds on Fridays without any grownups!”
“I really enjoyed planting flowers,” said Emily.
“The children work really hard to help the school keep our Eco Schools Green Flag and we have lots of fun,” said Mrs Reason.
We meet every Tuesday and would welcome more members to join in the fun.
