On Tuesday 3rd December class 4/5 went on a trip to Stratford-Upon-Avon as part of our Tudor Topic. In the morning we took part in a workshop, during which we visited the document vault and viewed a begging licence from Tudor times. We used Tudor coins to go shopping for Tudor food, wrote using quills, identified the purpose of different Tudor artefacts and considered the differences between the lives of the rich and poor. In the afternoon we visited Shakespeare's birthplace and Hall's Croft - the house of his daughter and son-in-law. It was a fabulous trip, and really brought all that we had been doing in out Tudor topic to life.
